Unseen nude photos of Madonna as an 18 year old ballet dancer go up for auction

A SERIES of nude photos taken of Madonna when she was an 18-year-old ballet dancer show her well-formed muscles and perfect turnout — and they can soon be yours for the right price.

Gotta Have it Rock and Roll is selling the 108 images with original negatives at auction Wednesday.

They each come with an opening bid between $US800 ($A1061) and $US1,200 ($A1592).

The artistic pictures were taken by photographer Cecil I Taylor at the Art World Institute of Creative Arts.

In one snap, the young singer, who has short dark hair, stands buck-naked at a ballet barre practising a first position demi-plie. In another, she stands in fourth position with her hands held above her, the better to show off her rock-solid abs.

TMZ first posted the photos on its website Monday.

The soon-to-be-mega star’s face was stoic during the shoot as she kept it all about her dancing ability, which would eventually wow audiences during her live concerts.

Also up for sale will be her signature, along with the photographer’s, on the model release form they signed May 19,1977.
