A team of internationally acclaimed dancers and dance teachers will offer free dance classes and performances 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 15 at the Redlands Community Center.

They are Edgar Zendejas, Mexico City, choreographer for Cirque du Soleil Montreal; Skyler Rodgers, Miami, founder of Skybeat dance fitness; and State Street Ballet dancers Mauricio Vera (Chile), Deise Mendonca (Brazil), Noam Tsivkin (New York), John Piel (Philadelphia) and Cecily Stewart (Santa Barbara).

The event is designed for all ages and all levels and is offered free of charge to seven California cities with support from the James Irvine Foundation. The event also includes a free lunch.

The goal of the project is to engage participants in dance in new ways and to connect California communities through shared experiences and the universal language of movement.

The event begins and ends with a performance by State Street Ballet dancers featuring excerpts from “Five by Gershwin,” “Rite of Spring,” “Cinderella” and “An American Tango.”

Following is the schedule.

• 11 to 11:30 a.m.: Performance by State Street Ballet dancers

• 11:30 a.m. to noon: Latin combo class

• Noon to 12:30 p.m.: Ballet

• 12:30 to 1 p.m.: Contemporary dance

• 1 to 1:30 p.m.: Free lunch

• 1:30 to 2 p.m.: Hip hop

• 2 to 2:30 p.m.: Dance class with local teacher

• 2:30 to 3 p.m.: Performance by State Street Ballet dancers
